Carers rate pharmacy the most supportive service

Pharmacies are the most “carer-friendly” healthcare service, according to charity Carers UK.

Sixty-seven per cent of carers viewed pharmacies as supportive, according to a survey published to coincide with the launch of Carers Week.

Jo Howells, Pharmacy Manager at Tower House Pharmacy said “It is great that pharmacy is being recognised for the supportive service provider that it is. Carers are under a lot of pressure and often suffer from high levels of stress as they support those in their care.

At Tower House Pharmacy we are delighted to be able to provide support to those that care for others. We very much feel that this is a fundamental part of the service we provide locally.

We would encourage any carer that needs support to come in and talk to any one of our friendly team, even if it’s just for a chat. We are here to support all local carers and we really want to help.”
