Stockton Heath Late Night Pharmacy Now Open!
(Posted on 19/03/12)
It’s all change at Stockton Heath Medical Centre with the opening of a brand new pharmacy. The Late Night Pharmacy, which is open seven days a week, has been developed within the Medical Centre, creating 10 new jobs in the area as well as providing a useful healthcare resource to the local community.
It was officially opened on March 19 by Andrew Murray, Managing Director of Community Pharmacies (UK) Ltd, based in Chester. His daughter Evie, aged six, was also present as she had asked her daddy ‘what he did all day' – and so he brought her along to see!
The ribbon was cut by Stockton Heath Medical Centre's longest-serving member of staff, Doreen Quarmby, who has been there since it opened 20 years ago. The event was attended by the team of medical staff as well as doctors past and present who toasted the launch of the new pharmacy with Champagne and canapes.
Stockton Heath Late Night Pharmacy is open to everyone, not just to patients of the Medical Centre, and a pharmacist will always be available to offer advice on medicines and minor ailments. The long opening hours saves a journey into Warrington town centre, and of course free parking is available for up to two hours in The Forge car park. In addition to usual prescription dispensing, other free services available at Stockton Heath Late Night Pharmacy include a prescription collection and delivery service, support for stopping smoking, travel advice, reviews with a pharmacist to help patients get the most from their medicines, and many more. Anyone can call in to see the friendly pharmacy team to discuss any health or medication concerns and a warm welcome awaits.
