South Kirkby Pharmacy Moves to New £4.5m Church View Health Centre Development

South Kirkby Pharmacy was officially opened today in its new home at the £4.5m Church View Health Centre Development on Langthwaite Road in South Kirkby.

The pharmacy moved over the weekend to ensure that there was no disruption to services provided for local residents with the team working around the clock to get everything ready from 8.30am on Monday 17th June 2013.

Operations Director Kevin Joshua said “The team has been amazing.  They have worked tirelessly over the weekend moving everything from the old shop on Barnsley Road to the brand new premises at Church View Medical Centre.”

South Kirkby Pharmacy is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 6.30pm and provides a wide range of services.  With the pharmacy now being in the same building as the GP surgeries it is envisaged that greater service integration will be achieved between all of the healthcare providers improving health outcomes for patients.

Dr Singh and Dr Diggle had the honour of cutting the ceremonial ribbon to officially declare the pharmacy open.  In his opening speech Dr Diggle commented on the fantastic customer service that he had witnessed from the pharmacy team first hand and Dr Singh said that the health centre was now complete with the pharmacy opening”.
