Somerset Gardens Pharmacy highlights Dignity Action Day
Staff at Somerset Gardens Pharmacy In Tottenham are highlighting the importance of treating vulnerable people with dignity in time for Dignity Action Day.

Dignity Action Day, created by the National Dignity Council, is an annual event that promotes the role of health service professionals and social care workers in upholding peoples’ right to dignity in care.

Rahul Gajreee, manager at Somerset Gardens Pharmacy, said: “This day is really about reasserting the fact that vulnerable adults, including the elderly, and children in care all deserve to be treated as individuals, and are given choice, control and a sense of purpose.

“In my day-to-day role I work with vulnerable people, or those with loved ones they care for, so I’ve seen first-hand how important and beneficial it is for individuals to retain that sense of self-worth. It’s a huge part of our role at the pharmacy, and something we all take a great deal of pride in.”
