Quit smoking for good this Stoptober!
(Posted on 20/10/16)
Stoptober has begun and many smokers are well on their way to reaching the 28 day mark – research suggests that if you get this far you’re 5 times more likely to quit for good!
The annual campaign is now in its third year, and aims to highlight the benefits of giving up smoking, by encouraging smokers to stop smoking for 28 days.
Rahul Gajree, Pharmacy Manager at Somerset Gardens Pharmacy, said, “We all know the benefits of giving up smoking but we also understand that quitting is a tough thing to do. A big part of my role as a community pharmacist is to support anyone who wants to stop smoking.”
“There are different options available for managing your cravings and breaking the habit – nicotine patches, inhalers or e-cigarettes are just a few. Here at Somerset Gardens Pharmacy we’ll guide and support our patients and help them to find a solution that will work for them.”
“Quitting is the best thing you’ll ever do,” said Rahul, “for your health and your family. And remember that every cigarette you don’t smoke will save you money!”
