Free Emergency Hormonal Contraception Service Available at Crewkerne Pharmacy
(Posted on 14/10/14)
Emergency hormonal contraception is available for free and without a prescription from Crewkerne Pharmacy, in Crewkerne Health Centre.
If you have had unprotected sex in the past three days, or if your usual form of contraception may have failed you might be worried about getting pregnant. It may be possible for you to take emergency hormonal contraception, also known as the morning after pill.
Andy McKee, Pharmacy Manager at Crewkerne Pharmacy, said: “In order to get a morning after pill, you will have a confidential consultation with the pharmacist, which you will do in a private consultation room in the pharmacy. If emergency hormonal contraception is suitable for you, the pharmacist will be able to supply it and there is no need to go to your doctor.”
“The morning after pill should not be used as routine contraception but if something happens and it’s needed we are here to help.”
